Tournay-Godfrey is an MEP & Sustainability Consultancy based in Brighton, East Sussex. They specialise in mechanical, electrical, and public health engineering, helping architects and developers create efficient, sustainable buildings. With a strong focus on innovation, they are committed to pushing the boundaries of digital construction and environmentally responsible design. Tournay-Godfrey approached Toop Studio for a bold and modern rebrand to reshape their brand and online presence. Unlike traditional firms in their field, they wanted to move away from the typical ‘wires and pipes’ identity and break free from industry clichés. Their goal was to stand out in a market dominated by old-school engineering aesthetics, while reflecting their expertise in both sustainable construction and digital innovation. The project involved branding and website design that would capture Tournay-Godfrey’s unique identity and make a strong impression on architects and developers. They sought a look that was fresh, distinctive, and punchy, avoiding the overused ‘green’ branding commonly associated with sustainability. The design had to align with their modern approach to MEP consulting while standing out in Brighton’s competitive market. Branding for Tournay Godfrey – MEP Engineering Firm in Brighton We developed a distinctive logotype centred around a square and swirl motif. The square represents the outer structure of a building, while the swirl symbolises the energy and dynamic systems working inside—perfectly aligning with the role of service engineers. The swirl also subtly references a wind turbine, reinforcing Tournay-Godfrey’s sustainability credentials without relying on the predictable green colour scheme. Instead of green, we chose a striking red as the primary colour—modern, bold, and highly visible in a competitive landscape. This choice differentiates Tournay-Godfrey from other firms and positions them as forward-thinking leaders in their sector. For the wordmark, we selected a clean, modern typeface with generous character spacing, ensuring excellent legibility even at smaller sizes. Beyond the logo, we developed a full set of brand guidelines covering: We demonstrated how these elements would work across different formats, including print, digital, and marketing materials. The branding package was capped off with a full stationery set and a digital presentation design. Tournay Godfrey – Website The website design followed the newly established brand guidelines, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints. We used the primary colour palette to create strong, engaging header and footer panels in red and gold, contrasting with clean, white content sections. The layout is simple and highly functional, with clear, structured content to ensure a smooth user experience. A secondary colour palette was introduced for colourful diagrams, which visually support the firm’s services. High-quality photography was carefully selected to reinforce the brand’s modern and innovative approach. This branding and website design work successfully positions Tournay-Godfrey as a modern, dynamic player in their industry while staying true to their values and expertise. The result is a bold, professional identity that sets them apart and makes a lasting impression.
