In 2006, Hotel Una commissioned us to design their logo and website. The hotel’s name comes from the River Una—one of Europe’s most beautiful and best-kept secrets—reflecting their aim to be a hidden gem in Brighton. As they describe it: “The River Una, named by the ancient Romans, means ‘the one and only.’ Hotel Una has always had this at the heart of its identity, striving to be Brighton’s best-kept secret.” Each room is named after a river, and the hotel’s interiors blend locally sourced wood, natural fabrics, and contemporary artwork. The branding needed to reflect this balance of nature, texture, and individuality, seamlessly combining these elements into a design that spoke to the hotel’s unique character. We drew inspiration for the logo from the natural movement of water, incorporating flowing lines that mirror the symbolism of the River Una. This logo design was not only about aesthetics but also about encapsulating the hotel’s ethos—the sense of uniqueness and fluidity that they aim to provide to their guests. For the website, we carried this theme into the design by using warm, organic textures and earthy tones. The natural materials featured in the hotel’s interior were reflected digitally, creating a welcoming and harmonious online experience that mirrored the hotel’s physical space. This created a cohesive brand identity that aligned with Hotel Una’s values and aesthetic. Over the years, Hotel Una has refreshed its website several times to keep up with digital trends, but they’ve maintained a version of our original logo, a testament to its lasting appeal. Today, Hotel Una continues to be one of the most popular boutique hotels in Brighton’s competitive hospitality market, consistently ranked among the top choices for visitors. Currently, it holds an impressive position as number five on TripAdvisor’s Traveller Rankings.Hotel Una Logo Design – Brighton Hotel Branding
